F-35C Fighter Jet Crashes in the U.S.

An F-35C Lightning II fighter jet belonging to the U.S. Navy crashed near the Lemoore Naval Air Station in California. The aircraft, assigned to the VFA-125 “Rough Raiders” squadron, reportedly went down around 6:30 p.m. near the base.
The pilot successfully ejected before the crash and was transported to the hospital. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
The F-35C is a fifth-generation, multi-role fighter jet capable of operating from aircraft carriers.
